About the Event

The Chehalem Valley Food & Wine Showcase is designed to deliver an engaging blend of education, tasting, and exposure to some of the finest offerings in specialty food and wine. Guests will have the opportunity to meet producers, sample premium products, and connect directly with the people behind the brands.

“This event is about connecting the people behind the products,” said co-founder Mike Hatch. “We wanted to bring together an incredible mix of small producers, importers, and leading food and beverage brands from across the country and beyond.”

Meet the Founders

Crush & Crate Northwest was founded by Mike Hatch and Mark Edwards, two industry veterans with a combined six decades of experience in the specialty food world.

  • Mike Hatch is a native Oregonian with over 30 years in the specialty food industry, including many years in restaurant management, and distribution. He has resided in Newberg for 20 years, and has worked during that time as the Executive VP of Sales in the U.S. with Champignon North America Inc., a German cheese manufacturer.
  • Mark Edwards brings 35 years of experience in marketing and specialty foods, including his leadership as Director of Marketing for DPI Specialty Foods. A lifelong Oregonian, he has cultivated relationships with producers across the globe, helping introduce international flavors to American markets.

Together, they launched Crush & Crate Northwest to foster appreciation for culinary craftsmanship and create opportunities for consumers and professionals to engage directly with exceptional food and beverage makers.
