Portland, OR – January 8, 2025
The FBI Portland Field Office is investigating an assault on federal officers that occurred Thursday afternoon near the 10000 block of Main Street in Portland.
According to a statement attributable to FBI Portland, the incident happened at approximately 2:15 p.m. and involved two U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents. The FBI described the incident as an assault on federal officers.
Authorities said the two assailants fled the scene immediately following the shooting. Both individuals are currently being treated for their injuries.
The investigation remains active and ongoing and is being led by the FBI. No additional details have been released at this time.
