Newberg, OR – January 16, 2026

Hawaiian Bros, a fast-growing island-inspired restaurant chain, will open its first Newberg location on Monday, Jan. 19, at 5212 Portland Road, according to a company press release.

The restaurant is scheduled to open at 11 a.m., with a grand opening promotion offering the first 100 customers in line a free T-shirt and a Hawaiian Bros gift card ranging from $25 to $500 with purchase. One customer will also be selected to receive Hawaiian Bros for a year, the company said.

Ahead of the public opening, Hawaiian Bros will host VIP events on Saturday, Jan. 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. During those events, first responders, medical personnel, academic staff, students, and local business employees will be offered a free classic Plate Lunch.

The Newberg restaurant is operated by JCK Ohana, a multi-unit franchisee, and marks its second Hawaiian Bros location in Oregon, according to the company.

“Expanding the Aloha Spirit in Oregon with our newest location in Newberg is something we’ve been eager about for some time,” said Alex Karcher, operating principal at JCK Ohana. “We look forward to starting the new year by sharing Hawaiian Bros’ island-inspired flavors with the community,” Karcher said in a statement.

Hawaiian Bros is known for its island-inspired plate lunches featuring chicken or pork paired with sweet, savory, or spicy sauces, macaroni salad, and white rice or vegetables. The menu also includes Dole Soft Serve for dessert. The company states its food is prepared without freezers or microwaves and emphasizes fresh ingredients.

Founded in 2018, Hawaiian Bros operates more than 70 restaurants across 14 states and has expanded its franchise program since 2023. The company has received several industry awards, including recognition from Ingram’s Corporate Report and QSR Magazine.
